This is are last week of NaPo & I don't know about you, but I'm feeling a little bit of writers block. If you're running out of ideas, check out yesterday's prompts.
The contest from week 3 is now closed! The winner will be announced on Friday.
The gallery folder for week 4 is open, so please submit poems #22-30 there!
Want to donate to the prize pool for all the NaPo winners? Send HillsOfMyst
a note! We're really low on prizes and we'd love to have some fun things to offer to the winners. Features, points, llamas, comments, and faves are all welcome! (keep in mind last year there were about 35 winners!)
This Weeks Challenge: Sum a book into a poem
Sum up a book you've read into a poem. It could be your favorite book or a book you hated or a book you just finished.
You must put in your title or author's description the title of the book you used and the author of that book.
It can be any type of book: a comic, a novel, a picture book, a history book, an instructional book, it can even be a poetry book.
You can not
sum up a whole series of books such as, 'The Chronicles of Narnia'. However, it can be one of the books in that series, such as, 'The Horse and His Boy'.
Some rules, of course!
You MUST send your entry in a note to NaPoWriMo
entitled "Weekly contest 4". You may still submit the poem to the gallery if you wish.
please indicate in your author's description or the title that the poem was written for this contest.
It does not have to be one of your thirty poems, but I would recommend it.
(one more poem out of the way, right?)
Entries will be accepted up until Tuesday, April 30st, at midnight GMT-3. The winner will receive 30
, a feature on the group's home page, and in the group's journal.
